It's easy to forget to update the site (sorry Gretchen) and not put things on here that you ladies need to know, so I'm spending an evening trying to get things together, at least a little. I'm hoping here to get things covered at least for a little while so that when baby #2 arrives, I'll only be struggling to get the newsletter done and not being behind on this again. Cringe.

Last weekend, we had a super-fun time at Creative Escape painting our own pottery. Can't wait to see how my "You Are Special" plate turns out. Purdue DDD alumna Jennifer Snook, the shop's owner, was terrific, and I'm headed back there with another group of friends next month. This is a nice place to go if you're wanting to paint pottery or do mosaics.

GUESS WHAT? The Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter ROCKS! We were second runner-up for not one but TWO awards at Convention this year! This is a BIG deal because we were up against ALL the other alumnae chapters in the country, including much larger chapters. We were recognized for our Lifetime Membership and (look at me; I'm blushing with pride) Communications. (And that was just with our fledgling website. Imagine how we're going to take off!)

Hey, everyone, don't forget that our official Fall Kick-Off is coming up in September. The Brunch at Gail's is always fun, and there's always plenty of good food. If I'm up for it, maybe my Cinnamon-Blueberry muffins from our pottery trip will make an encore appearance.
